Field notes and information

Endemic to Cyprus, a far flung part of politcal Europe.

Identification & Similar species: Closely resembles the H. semele group. There are no similar species on Cyprus.

Distribution & Flight: Endemic to Cyprus. Flies from April in spring, aetivates at higher levels until autumn when females emerge and descend to lowerlevels again.

Habitat & Behaviour: Hot dry grassy places with rocks.
