Field notes and information

Only found in north Africa.

Identification & Similar species: There are no similar species in this region.

Distribution & Flight: Only in north Africa where it is found in a broad band along the northern coast. Most southerly limits appear to be the Middle Atlas of Morocco where we found them in very small numbers in 1998.

Habitat & Behaviour: It flew in very dry places amongst sparse scrub containing patches of dried up grasses. It appeared to like sitting on rocks and stones in hot places, although the conditions we found them in were bright but rather cold.
