Field notes and information

ARIZONA April 2015: Smaller than the familiar painted lady, the two underside hindwing roundels are distinctive. It can be found in Europe on the Canary Islands and on the mainland in Portugal and Spain. It also migrates into the UK at times in exceedingly small numbers.
