This species is confined to Cyprus - one of the 3
I have included on the website. It is the only representative of this
genus on Cyprus. It is superficially very similar to the Meadow Brown,
Maniola jurtina of the subspecies hispulla which flies in south
eastern Europe. The forewing apical spots do look large though,
particularly in the female. |
