A regional sub species that is characterised by a slightly darker shade of blue on the upperside of the male and a female form, syngraphoides. This form is particularly beautiful. It occurs along side the typical brown female in all populations of the subspecies asturiensis but in widely differing proportions.

This subspecies is found only in the north of Spain south of the Pyrenees. We didn't find many sites for it and where we found it it was in low numbers.
