This is a large white butterfly in Greece, somewhat smaller and yellower in Cyprus. We've only ever found them rarely in northern Greece although I've corresponded with people who have found places where they are the commonest butterfly on the wing. In Cyprus they are slightly easier to come by in the hills to the east of the Troodos mountains in April.

They are variable within colonies and also regionally. The Cypriot examples were smaller and yellower than all of our (rather few) white Greek butterflies.
