This is a north African specialist. It is found in
Morocco and Algeria from the southern coast of the Mediterranean and
inland perhaps to 100 or 200km only. We found it at its southern limit
in the northern Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco. It flew in very dry
places amongst sparse scrub containing patches of dried up grasses. It
appeared to like sitting on rocks and stones in hot places, although the
conditions we found them in were bright but rather cold. |
