A rather distinctive butterfly with rich orange-yellow bands and a bold underside hindwing.

Identification & Similar species: There are no similar species.

Distribution & Flight: Only on Corsica and Sardinia. Flies in end June/ August.

Habitat & Behaviour: From about 400m in hills and mountains in dry hot grassy places, along roadsides, grasslands scrub and forests.
