Field notes and information

ARIZONA April 2015: The dark borders are very easily distinguished in flight. The rather surprising English name comes from these markings, although I can't actually see the resemblance.

We found it to be widespread and conspicuous across much of AZ in appropriate areas (bushy places). It rarely settled though so photographs were hard to come by.
