Field notes and information

ARIZONA April 2015: A discrete butterfly, skulking low around bushes just above the leaf litter in woodland. It frequently rests on the ground where it merges magically into the background.

Named after the author-lepidopterist Vladimir Nabokov, it is one of those small twist of coincidence that he is burried just a few kilometers from where I live in Switzerland a long way from where this butterfly flies.
